Because of its delicate location, it is not included in any Sikkim trip itineraries and must be visited separately. Visitors may only visit this secluded area, as well as Yumthang and the hot water spring, through local tour companies.

To visit Mount Katao, however, one must first obtain consent and authorization from the Indian Military Forces stationed in the area. 4. ZERO POINT, Above Yumthang

Lachung, a picturesque hill station in the state’s north-eastern corner, is also one of Sikkim’s most remote locations! The Indian Government took all visitor access to this riverbank town for a couple of decades, despite its compelling beauty at a breathtaking height of 9,600ft.

However, the government has reintroduced tourism to this beautiful state, and since the lifting of this seizure, Lachung has become a popular tourist destination. Though it is available to guests, it is not possible to commute to this hill station from June to September owing to significant snowfalls.
